ABOUT US

Playlist was developed, as a way of giving the client a live band, with the appeal of a DJ'ed event. We play the right songs....not what we want....we play what you want!

Does this mean you can request any song you want? Sorry, No that's not exactly how it works. Playlist Band has the formula....we play the songs... that we already know you love.....from requests over the past 17 years. We perform the right songs at the right time. We design a night of entertainment, songs from all era's....you won't be disappointed. Take a look at the OUR TUNES page. Those are songs everyone wants to hear. And we do them well.

We have set up our sets to play continuously, and have songs run into each other, much like a dj would do. There is no dead air. Thus, we keep you on the dance floor. We are a LIVE BAND/DJ!

Have you ever wondered why your average Vancouver band talks to the audience after each song? They end up playing less music. That's the easy way to do it. But Play>List is there to play music, so we end up playing 35% more music per night than any other band.

Playlist is about YOU, the client, the audience, the event. The Dance Floor will be packed all night, partying to Hit after Hit, from every era!

Playlist is a Vancouver Party & Event Band that Plays what "You want to Hear". Song selection taken from requests at over 400 events over the past 17 years.

One of the widest variety's of song selections you will find from any Vancouver Event Band!

Play>List has been mostly recognized as a 4 piece group. We can also upsize to a 5 or 6 piece band, or downsize to a 3 piece group....to work with almost any budget. We really are Vancouver's most affordable corporate/wedding band. We can even perform as a duo or solo artist.

The bonus to booking our larger bands, is we upsize the amount of members on stage to have more vocalists. Thus, the larger versions of our band can perform a wider range of songs.

Playlist has a membership of over 20 of Vancouver's best musicians and singers.

Christy Knapfl – vocals
Christy has been singing since day one of her life. It started with her parents recording her at a young age singing their favourite songs, to school choirs, to competitions. Finally, with her fronting her own band, Dekades, for many years.

The past few years she has been invited to sing in England, so she can now say she’s international!

Her vocals were influenced early by blues and rock which is where she learned her signature growl.
